This Viking Double Sided Bone Comb is Inspired by original Viking-age grooming tools excavated from settlements like Birka, Hedeby and Jorvik, this hand-carved double-sided comb is a faithful tribute to Norse craftsmanship. Bone combs like this were treasured personal items, reflecting a person’s pride in cleanliness, appearance and status within the clan.

Each comb is crafted from ethically sourced ox bone, polished to a smooth finish, and shaped to fit naturally in the hand. One side features closely spaced fine teeth for smoothing and detangling, while the opposite has coarser teeth perfect for beards or thicker hair. Historically, combs were also used for removing lice which was a practical and essential part of Viking daily life.

Due to the natural nature of the product no two combs are exactly alike. Over time, the organic material may develop small surface cracks, adding further to its authentic aged character. This comb is as functional as it is decorative, whether you’re styling your beard before a festival, completing your Viking or medieval costume, or placing it on display as part of your Norse collection. Its compact size fits easily into a belt pouch, travel kit, or display box.

• Viking costumes, medieval outfits or fantasy events
• Historical grooming and beard care
• Display in a collector’s cabinet or museums
• Educational props or heritage-inspired gifts

Care Instructions:
• Hand wash gently in lukewarm water with mild soap
• Never soak or expose to prolonged moisture or heat
• Dry immediately with a soft cloth

As this item is crafted from natural ox bone over time, minor surface cracks or changes may develop. These are  natural signs of age and authenticity.⭐
