This viking cloak clasp is a faithful reproduction of Norse-era fasteners which were used to secure heavy cloaks, tunics, and outer garments during the Viking times. Crafted from solid bronze and made with the traditional lost-wax casting method, it mixes durability with accurate detailing.

The clasp has a twisted central shaft like Norse decorative metalwork, with animal head terminals that show Viking beliefs and symbolism. Available in three designs, Serpent, Raven, and Wolf each terminal has a meaning rooted in Scandinavian mythology. The sculpted heads are not just for decoration but they serve as functional terminals that keep the clasp secured.

The lost-wax casting process (cire perdue) allows molten bronze to capture fine surface detail that modern casting methods can’t do. This results in beautiful textures, natural patina, and a weighty feel which is great for historical bronze fittings. Because each piece is individually casted and finished, no two clasps are exactly the same.

With a three-hole fastening system at each end, the clasp can be stitched firmly onto thick wool, linen, or other layered fabrics. This makes it suitable as a medieval cloak clasp, a bronze cloak clasp, or a functional clasp for cloak use in LARP or historical costume builds. Its construction also makes it very reliable to be used as a cloak clasp for repeated wear.

Suitable for Viking themes, stage costumes, or collectors of Norse designs, this clasp is a perfect mix of garment fastening with authentic craftsmanship.
