100% Recycled Wool Fabric

The dress is made from 100% recycled wool with a substantial 420 gsm fabric weight.

Wool is perfect for cooler weather, providing warmth while giving the dress a substantial woven feel. The coloured and white woven yarns create the warm toasted appearance of the fabric.

Diamond Twill Weave

The fabric has a distinctive diamond twill weave, creating a repeating geometric texture across the material.

Diamond-patterned twill is frequently co-related with Vikings Age wool textiles, making it a natural choice for a historically inspired Viking Dress for Women.

The textured weave gives the dress more depth than a plain wool fabric while maintaining a simple period-inspired appearance.

Viking Smokkr Inspired Design

The dress is inspired by the smokkr, also commonly referred to as a Viking apron dress or hangerok.

The sleeveless overdress was traditionally worn over another garment, creating a layered Viking woman’s outfit. The front straps can be secured with brooches, allowing the dress to be styled with different historical-inspired jewellery and accessories.
