History of Medieval Greaves
Traditional Knight Medieval Greaves were an important part of a knight’s armor, to protect the lower legs during battle. Originating in the early medieval period, greaves were used to shield the shins from sword strikes, arrows, and other hazards. The classic design, as seen in these Medieval Greaves, is like the historical style worn by European knights, for both protection and mobility.
