The Medieval Gorget: Material and Features

Handcrafted from mild steel, this medieval gorget pairs a rigid neck plate with a gorget with foldable bevor design, where the upper face plate pivots on rivets. Raise it for battle, or fold it down to talk, drink or breathe. Stylized breathing holes add airflow and detail, giving this gorget medieval character down to the last rivet.

• Foldable Bevor: The upper plate pivots up to guard the chin and folds down when you need air.
• Finish: Polished steel with a bright shine. Arrives oiled to prevent rust during shipping and storage, please wipe before use.
• Rivets: Steel rivets hold the plates and the pivot.
• Ventilation: Stylized breathing holes in the bevor plate.
• Fastening: Steel back or adjustable leather straps, your choice.

• 16 Gauge: Thicker steel built for reenactment and combat.
• 18 Gauge: Lighter steel for LARP, cosplay and costume. Not intended for combat.
• Steel Back: A steel rear plate closes the gorget for a full steel enclosure and more protection.
