Step back into the time of the Crusades with this Teutonic Knights Surcoat. It’s a long tunic, reaching around the calf, just like the ones real knights wore in the Middle Ages. Made from strong cotton fabric, it has straight cuts with slits on front, and back so you can move easily, perfect for riding, walking, or fighting in reenactments. additional pocket on one side to keep your needfuls safe.
The big black cross on the chest shows the symbol of the Teutonic Order, standing for loyalty, faith, and brotherhood. Long ago, knights wore this type of surcoat (also called a tabard or Wappenrock) over their armor. It helped protect them from the sun and showed which side they were on during battle.
This design was used by the Teutonic Knights, just like the Templars and Hospitallers, during the Crusades. You can see similar tunics in old medieval drawings like the Maciejowski Bible and Codex Manesse.
With its simple shape and real medieval look, this surcoat is great for LARP, cosplay, stage shows, SCA events, or collections. For the best look, wear it with a leather belt over chainmail or plate armor.
