Solid Brass Roman Belt Buckle

This roman belt buckle is inspired by original designs from the 1st-2nd century AD. Roman soldiers and citizens used buckles not only to secure their belts but also to display rank, identity, and discipline. Belts were an important part of Roman dress, especially for legionnaires who wore them with tunics and armor.

This buckle is crafted from solid brass, known for its strength, durability, and natural resistance to rust. Unlike plated metals, solid brass does not chip or peel. With time, it forms a  patina, giving it a deeper antique look.

This roman buckle is designed to fit belts approximately 2.9 cm (1 1/8 inch) wide.

Roman soldiers wore their belts over tunics, with decorative plates and hanging straps. The buckle secured the belt firmly at the waist, helping hold equipment such as pouches or small tools.

To wear this leather belt buckle, slide your belt through the frame, secure it with the pin through the belt hole, and adjust for a proper fit.
