Before buttons became popular, garments such as doublets, gambesons, hose, sleeves were fastened using strong cords with metal tips known as aiglets. These small but essential accessories helped secure clothing while making the cords easier to thread through eyelets.

Each lace is made from durable woven cotton for excellent strength while remaining flexible and comfortable to use. Measuring approximately 45 cm (17.7 inches), these Medieval Lacing Points are suitable for a wide range of historical garments and leather goods.

The cords have solid brass aiglets. Besides look, the brass tips prevent the cord ends from fraying and make threading through eyelets, holes, and loops quick and effortless.
