Round Buckler Shield 14 Gauge

This round buckler shield is inspired by historical designs of shields for both use as well as a medieval authentic look. It is compact in size and very effective in use and was widely used in medieval Europe for defense, dueling and close combat where speed mattered most.

This shield buckler is hand-forged from strong 14-gauge steel and finished in natural steel for an antique hammered war worn look. It has a central domed boss for deflecting strikes away from the user’s hand, with rolled edges for additional safety, and a sturdy wooden handle which covers the steel handle and is secured with steel rivets. The wooden handle gives a comfortable grip for easy and reliable use. These features give the shield excellent balance, control, and long-term strength.

Available in two sizes 9 inch and 12 inch and at a manageable weight, it is easy to maneuver and comfortable to carry. Buckler shields were favored because they helped in fast movement when used and even gave solid protection to the user. This buckle shield design could be used to block, deflect, or even strike an opponent during combat.

Whether used for LARP battles, training, or as a display piece, this small shield is practical as well as historically accurate.It can be carried on the field, or showcased as part of your medieval collection.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS:

• Oil the steel surface after each use to prevent rust
• Clean the shield after use
• Store in a dry place away from humidity
• Wipe the wooden grip with a clean cloth
• Apply wood oil occasionally to maintain the handle
