Inspired by traditional Spanish designs, the interwoven rings are not just decorative, they provide effective hand protection and can help deflect or control an opponent’s blade during defensive actions. With a balance point approximately 12 cm from the cross, the sword is well-balanced, which gives precise control that is important for rapier-style fencing techniques.
