Medieval Wool Cloak
Travel through history in this beautifully crafted Medieval Wool Cloak, inspired by the long hooded cloaks worn across medieval Europe by nobles, travelers, merchants, and pilgrims. Cloaks were an important outer garment in the Middle Ages, for warmth, protection from rain and wind, and a beautiful appearance that has become one of the defining symbols of medieval clothing.
Made from a heavyweight 70% wool and 30% blended fibre fabric, this cloak provides an excellent mix of warmth, durability, and comfort. The wool-rich fabric drapes naturally while providing insulation during cool weather, making it ideal for outdoor events, historical reenactments.
A generous hood gives practical protection against wind and light rain while adding the distinctive look. Rich golden embroidered trim decorates the hood, front opening, and arm slits, depicting the decorative craftsmanship often seen on high-quality medieval garments. The cloak is secured with an elegant solid brass clasp that keeps it comfortably fastened while adding an authentic historical touch.
This Wool hooded cloak for LARP, Renaissance fairs, theatrical use, cosplay, or events, this cloak combines historical inspiration with everyday use. Its flowing cut allows comfortable movement over tunics, dresses, armour, or layered clothing.
Care Instructions
-
Washing: Machine wash at 40°C (104°F) on a gentle cycle.
-
Drying: Do not tumble dry. Instead, reshape the cloak and lay it flat or hang it to air dry naturally. This prevents shrinkage and helps preserve the fabric’s drape.
-
Bleach: Do not bleach or use harsh detergents, as these can damage the wool fibers and embroidery colours.
-
Ironing: Use low heat (wool setting) and place a thin cloth between the iron and the fabric to avoid harming the wool blend.
-
Storage: Store in a cool, dry place. For long-term storage, use a garment bag or add natural moth repellents (like cedar or lavender) to protect the wool.
