The three layers cushion the collarbone and upper chest from impacts during LARP Battles, making prolonged wear comfortable during training and performances. It also provides an essential buffer between metal armor and the skin so helps prevent chafing, pinching and bruising.

The adjustable leather strap which is secured by a pure brass buckle secures the collar around the neck. The dual leather straps on the top of the shoulders help in attachment of the pauldrons to the gorget. These connection points make it fully compatible with most standard medieval pauldrons and gorgets.

The cut shape of the arming collar gives a confident medieval look and is easy for natural head and shoulder movement. Its tailoring decreases restriction of movement, therefore is suitable for extended wear during events, fairs and staged combat.
