Hedeby Viking Leather Shoulder Bag with Wooden Closure & Canvas Cord

Our Hedeby-style leather shoulder bag is inspired by archaeological finds from one of the most famous Norse trade centers. Designed to combine authenticity with daily practicality, this bag is made from 2.8–3 mm thick genuine leather.

The top features a beautifully shaped wooden closure frame, through which reinforced leather loops are stitched securely. On each end of the wooden top are two holes allowing a braided canvas cord to pass through,  this cord serves as both a sturdy handle and a comfortable shoulder strap, making the bag easy to carry wherever you wish.

With its roomy design and sturdy construction, this leather bag is perfect for holding small tools, coins, or personal items,  just as Viking traders or travelers might have done centuries ago.

Bags like this are inspired by finds from Hedeby (Haithabu), a major Viking settlement known for craftsmanship and trade. Similar wooden-framed leather pouches were used by Viking men and women to carry daily essentials while traveling or working.
