Early Medieval Norse-Inspired Belt Buckles
This set of 5 Viking Brass Belt Buckle pieces are made from solid brass with an ornate design inspired by the Viking Age and Dark Ages.
The wide, crown-shaped frame has raised interlaced pattern, giving each buckle an Early Medieval look.
With five matching pieces included, the set has the perfect quantity to start with, for leatherworkers, hobbyists and costume makers.
Norse Knotwork Design
The surface is decorated with interlaced ribbon-like scrollwork inspired by the patterns of Norse art such as the Borre and Jelling styles.
The lines appear to weave over and under one another, creating the intricate knotwork appearance.
Solid Brass
Each Medieval Brass Buckle is made from solid brass for a substantial feel and reliable use.
Brass does not rust. This makes it useful for leather accessories and costume equipment that may be used repeatedly at outdoor events.
With normal use and age, brass develops an additional patina, which will enhance it’s historical appearance.
Antiqued Finish Highlights the Knotwork
The brass is given an antiqued finish. This contrast helps emphasize the raised knotwork and makes the detailed interlaced pattern much easier to see.
Each Brass Buckle for Leather Belt is designed to accommodate leather straps up to 1.9 cm (3/4 in) wide.
Care & Maintenance
- Wipe the buckles with a soft, dry cloth after use.
- Avoid harsh or abrasive cleaners.
Note: Small variations in brass tone, surface texture and antiquing may occur between individual pieces. These differences are normal characteristics of decorative brass.
