This crusader helm is inspired by the powerful great helms which were worn during the late 12th and 13th centuries. Its classic cylindrical “barrel” construction provided full facial and cranial coverage, making it one of the most recognizable helmet styles of the High Middle Ages.

Handcrafted from durable mild steel, this Crusader helmet is available in 16 gauge or 18 gauge options, with solid brass fittings in corresponding gauges. A riveted brass cross on the front gives a strong visual contrast against the polished steel surface. Historically, the cross meant faith and allegiance during Crusader campaigns. It serves both as a decorative focal point and as a medieval detail. The polished finish enhances its look for stage use, LARP, theatre, and display settings.

The narrow eye slits and horizontal ventilation openings allow visibility and airflow during wear. Inside, the Crusader knight helmet is a padded liner that cushions the head and gives comfort for use. An adjustable leather chin strap with brass buckle gives a stable and secure fit.

This knights templar crusader helmet is ideal for historical themes, LARP events, stage performances, film productions, and collections. This helmet is intended for costume, display, and LARP purposes and is not designed for live steel combat or full-contact fighting.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS:

  • Wipe dry after each use to prevent moisture buildup
  • Apply a light coat of oil to protect the steel surface
  • Use a gentle brass polish to maintain the shine of the cross and fittings
  • Store in a cool, dry place away from humidity

Note: Each helm is individually handcrafted and hand-assembled. Differences in finish, brass tone or rivet placement are natural.
