This medieval chainmail shirt is crafted from 16 gauge aluminum rings, each measuring 10 mm in diameter, and assembled using the traditional 4-in-1 chainmail weave. In this classic construction method, each ring passes through four other rings, creating a dense and flexible mesh that has been used in armour for centuries.

The haubergeon has a three-quarter length sleeves, extending below the elbows while remaining comfortable for movement and weapon handling. Its shorter length compared to a full hauberk makes it a practical choice for performers, and artists who need mobility without sacrificing coverage.

Because it is made from aluminum, this chainmail offers several advantages over traditional steel mail. Aluminum is lightweight, rust-resistant, and requires very little maintenance, making it an excellent choice for theatre productions,  LARP , and costume use.
