Chainmail Haubergeon 8mm Riveted Rings with Alternate Flat Solids

A chainmail haubergeon is a shorter and more practical version of the traditional chainmail armor, to provide protection with better movement. This piece is crafted from 8 mm internal diameter rings made of 18 gauge mild steel, for a strong and flexible structure.

The construction has the same classic alternating pattern of solid and riveted rings, forming a European 4-in-1 weave. This riveting method was used in historical armor as it gave better strength and reliability compared to simple butted rings. The helps the armor to move naturally with the body.

With its half sleeves and mid-length cut, this chainmail haubergeon is lighter than full-length armor, so it is more comfortable for long hours of use.
