Step into the world of seafaring warriors and Norse mythology with this Viking Bronze Knotwork Brooch – a piece rooted in the spiritual and artistic traditions of the 9th–11th century Northlands. Based on surviving Viking decorative styles, this round brooch features intertwined beast-like forms, believed to symbolize eternal strength, protection, and the binding forces of fate.

Each brooch is crafted using the ancient lost-wax casting technique, where the design is first shaped in wax, encased in clay, and fired so the wax melts away. Molten bronze is then poured into the hollow mold, creating a detailed one-piece casting. This meticulous process ensures every knot, curve, and beast-head captures the artistic richness of Norse metalwork, once found on cloaks, tunics, and ceremonial garments.

The brooch is both ornamental and practical, with a strong integrated pin on the back to fasten your cloak securely during marches, feasts, or gatherings. The bronze develops a rich patina over time, deepening its historic charm and evoking the age of long ships and sagas.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS:
• Gently clean with a soft, dry cloth
• Avoid harsh chemicals and prolonged exposure to moisture
• Store in a dry pouch to maintain finish

NOTE:
Each piece is individually hand-cast using the lost-wax method. Slight variations in finish and texture may be present.
