This striking Viking Age Solid Bronze Mjölnir Pendant is a detailed reproduction of one of the most famous historical Mjölnir finds, unearthed in Bredsättra, on the Swedish island of Öland. Dated to the late 10th century, it represents the height of Viking craftsmanship and devotion to Thor, the Norse god of thunder.
Carved with elaborate interlace patterns and high-relief textures, the hammer’s design exemplifies Norse art from the late Viking Age. Worn both as an amulet and a declaration of identity, such pendants were especially prominent making Thor’s hammer a bold symbol of ancestral faith and cultural resistance.
Cast in solid bronze using the lost-wax method, this pendant preserves every intricate detail of the original. It comes ready to wear with an adjustable 2 mm leather cord, making it suitable for both historical attire and modern Viking style.
Bronze was widely used in Viking jewelry due to its warm color, durability, and symbolic value. Over time, it develops a natural patina, giving the piece a time-worn look. Due to the Lost Wax Cast method , minor variations may be present.
