This Celtic Brooch set includes two bronze cloak fasteners sold together, inspired by early Viking and Celtic animal-art traditions. They show the artistic styles which were seen in Northern Europe during the Viking Age, from the 9th to 12th centuries.
One clasp has a flowing knotwork with dragon or serpent heads, a style linked to Viking art forms such as Borre and Urnes. The other clasp shows strong animal-head terminals, often described as Celtic in style, though similar wolf and beast motifs were widely used across Viking cultures as well. Together, these pieces show the shared visual language of the Norse and Celtic worlds.
Both clasps are made with the traditional lost-wax casting method. This process gives sharp detailing and accurate depth. Cast in solid bronze, the surface will naturally develop a darker patina with time, giving each piece an aged, old-world character.
These fasteners can be stitched, laced, or threaded on your cloaks, shawls, or heavy garments, depending on your preferred method of use. Whether worn for LARP, stage costumes, or historical fashion, this set works as both a functional closure and a strong visual statement. The designs also pair well with viking cloak pins and other traditional accessories, while still standing out as a distinctive viking cloak brooch set.
