Aluminium Medieval Coif 14 Gauge 10 mm

Crafted in 14 gauge, 10 mm rings, this butted chainmail coif is made from aluminium for easier wear and comfort. Historically, coifs were forged from iron or steel for battle protection. Aluminium was not used in medieval times, but it is now chosen for costume and stage use because it is lighter and easier to manage.

The butted ring construction keeps the coif flexible and lightweight. It drapes naturally over the head and shoulders. Because of its less weight, it is comfortable for long events, theatre productions, and film shoots.
