During the Middle Age, not everyone could afford full plate leg armour… Archers, billmen, spearmen and most other footsoldier had to do with simpler poleyns covering only the knee and a bit of the leg.
They were lighter than a full leg harness and obviously far less expensive… But on the other hand they were not offering the same level of protection than a knightly pair of full legs.
Well-designed by our skilled artisans from STURDY 16 gauge MILD STEEL and GENUINE LEATHER, these poleyns are FULLY FUNCTIONNAL and are well suited for reenactment battles.

- This Plate legs armour are constructed of 16g mild steel and riveted together to made one solid amazing piece. The Greaves protect the lower legs whereas the poleyns protect the knees and the cuisses protect part of the lower thighs. Even though constructed out of metal and rivets these pieces move with ease. Leather straps with steel buckles hold this set on and in place. For added comfort purchase some padded leggings.
- Finished with a polished look this armour will require oiling to store in perfect condition. The armor plates are riveted and are articulated. The interior is blackened and the armor is fitted to the legs with adjustable straps and antiqued steel buckles.
