It fits all head sizes with an inner circumference of 72 cm (without liner) and has a sturdy chin strap with a brass buckle to keep it in place during battles(69 cm with liner) The total height is 33 cm, and the width at the bottom from front to back is 22.5 cm. The eye slits are 10.5 cm long, 1.6 cm wide at the inner end, and 1.4 cm wide at the outer end. This helmet is inspired directly by several 13th-century sources and, for example, is closely similar to many of the helmets seen in the Maciejowzki bible.
