Historical-Inspired Blowing Horn
Horns have been used across European history as sound-producing and signalling instruments, where a loud sound was needed to communicate over distance.
During the Viking Age, music and sound played an important role at gatherings. Archaeological evidence confirms the use of musical instruments during the period, although surviving evidence for specific Viking Age blowing horns is limited.
This viking blowing horn is made from ethically sourced ox horn and has a steel front for easy use. It takes inspiration from that historical tradition and recreates the appearance of a simple Medieval Blowing Horn for modern historical events and collections.
Natural Horn Construction
Made from natural horn, each piece has its own colour, surface character and organic look.
Because horn is a natural material, no two pieces are exactly the same. Variations in colour, pattern, shape and surface are natural characteristics of the material.
Viking Signal Horn
A Viking Signal Horn makes a distinctive addition to historical and fantasy settings. Its loud, resonant sound makes it suitable for demonstrations, themed events and historical-inspired performances.
Please note: Sound, volume and playing characteristics can vary because every natural horn is different as well as on the blowing technique.
This Viking Bugle is suitable for:
- Viking reenactments
- Medieval reenactment camps
- Renaissance fairs
- LARP events
- Viking festivals
- Historical demonstrations
- Themed performances
- Costume accessories
- Stage and theatre productions
Easy to Carry & Display
The compact horn design makes it convenient to carry to festivals, camps and outdoor events.
