Lombardic Byzantine Steel Lamellar Plates – Set of 100 pieces

Our Lombardic Byzantine Lamellar plates are an early 7th century AD piece of armour that would make an excellent companion to your reenactments from the Early Medieval Period. These are directly inspired by a historic find of Niederstotzingen, Grab. Their shape and structure allow them to make a perfect CHEST PROTECTING scale armour.

These plates are HANDMADE from sturdy 20 gauge MILD STEEL. Each lamellar plate measures approx. 9.5 cm in length and approx. 2.2 cm in width. A set of 100 pieces of these lamellar plates weighs approx. 1 Kg and 345 grams. Note: This set of scales is carefully coated with a layer of oil when packaged that acts as a temporary (protective) layer against corrosion (rust), which can easily be wiped off using any oil remover or even a dry cloth.
