Historic Medieval Spear Design with Functional Wings
This winged spearhead is inspired by the lugged spear designs used in medieval Europe during the Frankish, Carolingian, and Viking eras. Also known as a lugged spearhead, this style became popular due to its practical and defensive design. The wings or side lugs near the base of the blade helped in preventing over-penetration during thrusts while also allowing warriors to hook shields, control enemy weapons, or defend against attacks more effectively.
Hand Forged Construction
This spearhead winged design is handforged from durable carbon steel and finished with a polished mirror-like shine. The socket is hollow and includes mounting holes, so that the spearhead can be securely pinned to a wooden shaft or haft.
Ideal for Event Use, Display, and Collections
This medieval spearhead is well suited for Viking events, displays, LARP, theatre use, historical collections, and decorative displays. Its polished steel surface and winged design make it an eye-catching centerpiece for any medieval collection. Whether mounted onto a shaft for display or for use, this spearhead shows the designs of early medieval warfare and craftsmanship.
