This pendant is inspired by the famous Klinta Valkyrie charm, discovered on the Swedish island of Öland. The original artifact, dating to the Viking Age, was made from silver and shows a finely dressed woman with her hair tied back, holding a drinking horn. Archaeologists widely interpret her as a Valkyrie.

In Norse mythology, Valkyries were the female attendants of Odin who chose which warriors would fall in battle. They guided the bravest heroes to Valhalla, where they welcomed them with a horn filled with mead or ale before they joined Odin’s army, the Einherjar. During the Viking Age, pendants like this were likely worn as protective symbols.
