Versatile Thigh High or Knee High Design

These Musketeer Boots are designed to give you two different looks in one pair.

Wear the tall shaft fully extended for a thigh-high look, or fold the upper cuff down to create a knee-high style. The choice is yours depending on your outfit, activity and preferred look.

The wide fold-over cuff gives the boots their characteristic appearance while allowing them to be styled in different ways.

Made from Thick Genuine Leather

The boots are handcrafted from genuine leather, giving them a substantial appearance and a sturdy feel.

The natural leather has its own grain, texture and colour variations. Small differences in the surface are part of the character of genuine leather and mean that every pair has a naturally individual appearance.

Musketeer & Cavalier Style

Inspired by the tall riding boots of the musketeers, cavalrymen and European soldiers of the early Baroque period, these boots have a high shaft, square toe and wide cuff.

The tall shaft was suitable for riding and gave additional coverage around the legs. The characteristic folded cuff can be pulled up when greater leg coverage is desired.

The design also features a detachable leather instep cover, adding another distinctive element to the historical-inspired appearance.

The upper shaft can be worn in two positions:

Unfolded:
Creates a tall thigh high boot/ Knee high boot suitable for riding, historical costumes and dramatic period-inspired outfits.

Folded:
Turns the boot into a knee-high boot/ Fold over boots with a wide turned-down cuff for a shorter, more relaxed look.

Detachable Leather Instep Cover

A distinctive feature is the leather butterfly-style instep cover, also known as a quatrefoil-shaped cover.

It is present over the instep and is secured with leather straps and a brass buckle. The cover adds visual detail while helping protect the upper part of the foot. Brass does not rust, with time and use, it can naturally darken and develop a patina.

It can also be removed when a simpler appearance is preferred.

Leather Sole with Reinforced Rivets

The Cavalier Boots have leather outer soles reinforced with rivets for strength. For extended wear, a removable insole can be added for extra cushioning and comfort.

Care & Maintenance

Wipe the leather with a soft, or slightly damp cloth.
Keep the boots away from prolonged exposure to water.
Do not place them near heaters or direct high heat.
Use a suitable leather conditioner occasionally to help maintain the leather.
Store in a cool, dry place when not in use.

Note: Because these boots are made from genuine natural leather, minor variations in grain, texture, colour and surface appearance are normal. The leather may develop additional creases with use. These natural changes are part of the material and contribute to the aged, lived-in appearance of the boots.
