The Eric The Bold Viking Tunic is a reproduction of the everyday garments which were worn by the Norse people during the Early Middle Ages (8th to 11th centuries). With a mixture of historical authenticity, design and use, this tunic shows the practicality of the Viking life.

This tunic is made from 100% recycled wool (420 g/m²), for insulation and breathability. Wool was the material of choice in the Viking Age, because of its ability to retain heat even when damp and for its natural resistance to wear.

The v neck and the sleeve of the medieval tunic have a diamond twill decorative trim, which is woven from a blend of 80% wool and 20% nylon (320 g/m²). It displays the authentic Viking textile finds. The addition of nylon strengthens the fiber without compromising its historical look.

The diamond twill weave was one of the most prestigious textile patterns of the Viking world, found in discoveries from Haithabu (Hedeby), Birka, and other Norse settlements.

This viking shirt or tunic viking includes inserted gores at the hem, for a natural flare and for more room for movement. Additionally, gussets are placed under the arms, for reinforcement and better mobility for the wearer during use.
