Dark Age Round Viking Shield

This Dark Age Round Viking Shield is designed to combine the aesthetics of Nordic and Norse shields for LARP, cosplay, light combat, and display use. The shield’s body is crafted from thick, solid wood, for strength and longevity.

Front Face: The nordic shield​ has a bold, vibrant red painted surface, symbolizing power and defiance in battle. Its central highlight is the polished steel shield boss (umbo), made from steel. This rounded boss is strategically positioned in the center to protect the wielder’s hand and to help deflect strikes away from the shield’s core. Surrounding the umbo are four diamond-shaped steel plates, for structural reinforcement and visual look.

Shield Edge: The circumference is fully reinforced with steel sheeting, for better durability and resilience against blows from axes, swords, or other weapons.

Back Handle: The back has a blackened, solid wooden central grip, securely riveted into place, for a firm and comfortable hold for maneuverability. The ergonomic design ensures control during LARP events or stage performances.

• Wipe the Viking Shield Round with a dry or slightly damp cloth to remove dust or debris
• Avoid prolonged exposure to moisture to prevent wood warping or rusting on steel parts
• Store in a dry place
• Reapply a thin layer of oil to the wood occasionally to maintain natural finish
