The Viking Birka Cap is a reproduction of one of the most practical accessories of the Viking Age, a warm, close-fitting cap worn for protection against northern winds. Inspired by archaeological finds from Birka, one of the most significant Viking trading settlements in modern-day Sweden, this design is like the simple & essential headwear used across Scandinavia between the 9th and 11th centuries.

Viking caps like this were daily necessities, to retain heat while remaining breathable during travel, trade, and battle. The Cap has a historically accurate shape, 100% recycled wool with a 350 g/m² weight, like the texture and density of original Viking textiles.

Wool was the preferred fiber in the north due to its natural insulating and moisture-repelling properties. Even when damp, it retains warmth. The cap’s fit ensures stability during active movement, while the soft interior allows for extended comfort.
