Aluminium Chainmail Shirt Dome Riveted (Alt) Flat Solids 10mm 16g

This half-sleeve aluminium chainmail shirt is made for modern performances with the look of a medieval armor. It is made with 10 mm round rings from 16 gauge aluminium, in a riveted pattern with alternating flat solid rings for more structure and a realistic look.

In the Middle Ages, chainmail shirts were traditionally made from iron or steel for protection in battles. Aluminium was not used during that time. Today, armour makers use aluminium as a modern alternative for costumes and performances because it is much lighter and easier to maintain. This makes it great where appearance matters more than protection.

The half-sleeve design gives great airflow and freedom of movement. It reduces heat build-up and fatigue, so it can be worn comfortably for long hours. The bright, natural finish resembles steel mail with light weight.
Aluminium does not rust, so this shirt does not need much maintenance. It does not need oiling and is suitable for humid days as well. The riveted round rings with alternating flat solid rings give this shirt the look of traditional armour .

This aluminium chainmail shirt is intended for movies, theatre, film productions, stage use and even LARP. It is made for display and performance use only and is not meant for combat or protection.

Note: Each chainmail shirt is handmade and assembled by hand. Small variations in ring alignment are normal.
