13th Century Kettle Hat Helmet

This kettle hat helmet is a faithful reproduction of one of the most widely used medieval helmets, handcrafted from 18 gauge steel for strength, safety, and wearability. The smooth, rounded dome and broad brim design gives excellent protection from downward blows, missiles, making it historically accurate and practical for modern use.

The kettle hat helmet, also known as the chapel-de-fer, originated in the 12th century and was used alot through the 15th century. It was favored due to its open design and excellent field of vision. The kettle hat gave better awareness while still protecting the head.
